With tears rolling down to my cheeks i just wanna convey ma wishes to the greatest legend of all time Rahul Sharad Dravid, i always feel you as my Role model with a Dictionary of thoughts & Passion. i have been privileged to watch these many years and live long in our hearts forever.
Its almost impossible to fit into your shoes, but just hav a wish to c little dravids representing the country…
The title of your biography ” The Nice Guy Who Finished First” aptly describes you in all the ways . Thank you Dravid for what ever you have done for Indian and world cricket. Indian cricket is proud to have you. You are an Icon. You are Irreplaceable .You are a LEGEND ….
You deserved more than what you have achieved .
Load and Loads of Love and Respect 🙂 :’)
Whoever started this mentioning I’m Pakistan or India is a retard. We are humans with intelligence and definitely adore the excellence wherever we are from. I don’t see anyone who hate players like Wasim, Waqar, Kallis, Sachin, McGrath ..etc just becos they are from so n so country. Yes we feel more excited when India played Pakistan. The hate stops at the end of the match we adore your bowlers more than ours except for some extremists who mix game with other hatred.
Dravid is a legend on and off the field he may not be as fluent as sachin but he is the greatest in his own way sometimes way better than sachin in patience n fighting spirit. Dravid makes the right decisions at the right time. He didn’t wait upto September to have a farewell match because that stops an youngster prep time for the main step that is Test Cricket. Now VVS and SRT should wait till one or two youngsters to step up and retire at different times with at least a gap of 8-10 months.
Indian team need more people like him (may be not with much talent but how humane he behave). SRT and VVS should get a lesson from it (as it should be one of those – or both of them, who retire first). Now India badly needs both VVS and SRT. As without Dravid, batting is more vulnerable.
Love from Pakistan.
rahul the young talents are there but hard work u put on on after 23 years that cannot replace any one . they have IPL they have huge money . they dont have desire of u .and thanks for making India proud
he remained silent n cool and retired in cool way ..not wanted to retire in ground and carried by d players. and that is the simplicity of “The wall”..i bet u, it will be impossible to replace Dravid..
Honestly initially i thought i made up the name ‘wall’ for him after seeing him bat in on the test, until i recently saw it one the newspaper that it was already given to him by India. He was my favorite player growing up, i bought ‘wills’ cricket bat in 4th grade because i wanted to be like him. Whole India will miss you sir very badly!!!
I’m a Pakistani & it’s so sad to see him go!
He was my favourite Test Player along with Jacques Kallis.
Doesn’t matter to me that he plays for India. He is a great Human Being & amazing Cricketer!
He & Kallis were the first cricketers I started to Hate, cuz they just didn’t get out when I saw them in early 2000s!! But when I got mature that Hate turned to love as I admired there talent & class!
Just to say, I think Laxman should be the first one to go!!
It will look horrible of him if he playe
Will the Gentlemen’s game still be called the same after this gentleman hungup his boots…..No……I Don’t think so….
The cricketing fraternity, not just lost a great batsman, but on top of all, it has lost a great ambassador of the game….
Rahul, U may not be as famous as Sachin, but surely your are the greatest batsman India has ever produced….Kudos to all the contribution u made to the Indian cricket team for the past 16yrs…No one can replace you….No one can be like you.
certainly we’ll miss u alot “Dravid”— from someone across the border
Wtf!! Dislikes??? How can ANYONE dislike him?!????
There can be a new sachin… New saurov.. But definitely no new dravid…
Noone can replace u rahul dravid sir!! Gonna really miss you WALL!!

I think nobody should retire now atleast for two-three series becos its hard to fill two places simultaneously.

It will look horrible of him if he played against SA in september!
& if he goes as well now, then India’s got big trouble in filling the blank of Dravid & VVS!!
Still I’m not sure whose going to replace Dravid @ 3!
Most likely it’s Kohli but I’m not sure that he will be able to!!
Let’s see!!
I’m a Pakistani & it’s so sad to see him go!
