great innings no doubt.. but i could not take my eyes off the speedometer showing one of jason gillespie’s deliveries at 148.2 kph.. see 1:20. was this guy so fast?? any bowler who bowls at this speed in a test match has genuine pace.. so why was he not known for his speed??
laxman(281) century in this match ranked 6th all time great century by wisdon..if laxman hadnt played this innings …dravid 180 innings may be ranked 6 th……
what an innings an an innings under extraordinary pressure…. this knock actually not spoken proud because of his fellow team mate laxman stunning 281 both were under tremendous pressure what a match.. we are honored and privileged to see such a serious for me this ll happen in every 30 or 50 years we are proud to witness this epic innings and epic match
Ya ur right, this man has always had to play second fiddle…unfortunatly…when he scores big, some one else scores bigger, to steel his lime light…he has had to play in the shadow of tendulkar all his life…rahul dravid still is for me one of the finnest test cricketers to have ever graced this game..and certainly the most pleasant to watch.
180 of the very best. Those on-drives were sublime. Rahul is such a classical and elegant batsman. Virat Koli and Rohit Sharma have very big shoes to fill when this man retires.
In this innings Dravid was deemed to have made ‘a wonderful contribution’; on any other day this would have been called ‘a masterpiece’. I have never seen a batsman play second fiddle with the virtuosity that was exhibited here. Dravid exhibited classicism long attributed to Waugh, Chappell & Azharuddin. His run out was unfortunate, for the shot played was a delightful one; it was somewhat sardonic that it should prove fatal at the other end. Thank you for the finest of posts. 🙂
The forgotten innings!
@sushantnaik88 do u have his 1 hundred against pak in odis

super dravid
the most technically sound batsman in the world …undoubtedly the best innings ever..laxman and dravid aussie nightmare
I Feel Sad For Dravid. He Is The Best Player . He Has Saved India From So Many Situations. The Most Underrated Cricketer Ever.
Greatest test match in the last 4 decades, that I have been watching.
Greatest test match of all time.
I remember watching this epic match as a kid. To this day I think this is the best game of test cricket I’ve ever seen
he was wicked back in the old days but i wish he played like this nowadays. He’s too defensive now

That was a wonderful shot to get to his century. Fantastic celebration too.
